What is Interact?
Interact (which stands for INTERnational ACTion) is an international organization of service and social clubs for young people of secondary school age that fosters leadership and responsible citizenship and promotes international understanding and peace. Interact clubs are sponsored by Rotary clubs as a program of Rotary International, but the Interact clubs are self-governing and self-supporting.
EVHS Interact is located in Area 8, among the 13 areas within Interact District 5170.
What We Do
Each year, Interact clubs complete at least one Community based project and one International based project, while following five primary avenues of service: community, international, school, environmental, and fundraising. Interactors develop a worldwide network of friendships through exchanges with local and overseas clubs. Along the way, Interactors develop their leadership skills and initiative.
Who We Are
Interact has over 250, 000 youth in more than 11,000 clubs in over 120 countries and geographical areas, with Brazil, India, the Philippines, and the United States having the highest number of interact clubs. Here in District 5170, we have 7,000+ active Interactors, 90,000+ annual service hours, and $100,000+ fundraised annually!
Our members are dedicated to putting "Service Over Self" and creating change.
